We are a different model than any other blockchain, we are actually account centric blockchain.
Every account is assigned a 256-bit random string of alpha numeric characters, a ledger object ID (LOID), that will not be repeated for billions of years, guaranteed. Every asset you own is represented as an object in your account also with their own LOID and the are a subset of your account. Objects can be whatever you define them to be.
All activity is anonymous, your account and your identity can be verified via cert objects in your account. They can prove you are compliant in any jurisdiction while not revealing anything about your identity on chain, only your LOID is known and the only visibility anyone has to any of your certs, assets etc., is for you to give a public key for that object which gives access the offline location it is stored on.
So as any blockchain the transaction is recorded, however, the question is, does the transaction information available. You will have 3 choices on SagaChain:
1) You can have everything you do transparent
2) you can ZK your specific object (no one knows balances) or transaction by draging and dropping Class ZK on your entire account or just each object (asset). This not implemented yet, if any devs want to contribute to the base code and build this now, it is a needed addition and would be completed before it will get in current task list of core dev team.
3) In cases of groups or enterprises, you can set up Private Enclaves, where only node operators you allow to participate in your consensus and only the header/hash of the blocks you produce in you enclave is placed on the public chain, the data never touches the chain, all data stays within your control and is secured in your enclave by any means you deem valid.
So it is a private coin, with numerous levels of privacy depending on your personal needs, desires.
